Living Life as a Thank you – 2

January 13, 2016 0 By Mirm

scott & hudsonScott,

Today is your Birthday!  I hope it is happy and that 2016 is followed with unimaginable blessings and joy. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you thank you. I decided to increase my gratitude quotient, so I set a goal to hand write one thank-you-note  a week–come what may–and write 52 thank-you notes in the coming year.

I count knowing you and your family as one of the best and treasured blessings I was given after Jim went to heaven.  I am so grateful for the ways you have pastored my kids, especially Clayton.  I want you to know that I love watching you parent your kids; it reminds me of my kids’ dad and makes me so happy!! Oh, and I love your wife and your kids!  Thank you for sharing them so generously.
Thank you for allowing me to partner with the team, as best you can, to reclaim something that I thought was over.  I am so glad and humbled you chose me to be your admin. assistant.  It was confirmation that God was not finished with me yet and, in spite of the ways our hands are often tied, I am grateful for the opportunities I do have and the willingness to include me whenever possible.  You have no idea how grateful I am that God provided employment when Jim got sick, but even more how often I thank him for moving me to the job EvFree to minister alongside the team.

Thank you for setting the bar high for those you are ministering to and with! You work with such integrity, compassion and wisdom, a genuine heart for the ministry.  I love that you live out the Word and your call whether you are at work, or at home in your neighborhood.  I am so proud of the person you are, I can honestly say that I would love for Clayton to be just like his dad AND just like you. That is huge for me.

May you continue to be steadfast and immovable and may God continue to bless your life and ministry in unimaginable ways to overflowing. Amen.

With love,

Miriam
