Ps 20:4  May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

There are studies that have shown that people with a thankful heart are more successful and achieve their goals more often. This is probably because they have a better attitude and are more confident which leads to higher productivity. They can direct more of their focus towards their work. Conversely, those who are insecure have difficulty focusing because many of their mental resources are tied up with their worries. Further, gratitude has been shown to increase self-esteem and breeds a warm emotion that reduces, if not destroys greed, bitterness, meanness and other corrosive emotions. When you are grateful, others like to be around you. Your outlook supports and helps others see the positive elements inherent in daily life, and to feel more hopeful about the possibility of future success in their own life. People who approach life with a sense of gratitude are constantly aware of what’s wonderful in their life and even offers a real change in the whole trajectory of your life. One of the measures of biblical success, according to Kent Hughes, is a grateful attitude. He must increase (John3:30). Gratitude has no upper limit. You can’t be too thankful and you can’t out give God.

Thank you for all you do for me every day. Make me aware that my success is actually you transforming me.
