Life as Thank You – 15
I am writing a thank you note each week as a discipline to increase my gratitude.  In honor of your birthday, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for being my friend! I am grateful for the history we share; there are so many memories that I would be hard pressed to choose my favorites.  I can say that some of my best memories would not exist if it was not for you (and Steve).  I praise the Lord for bringing us together as young couples and for giving us the idea to do life together.  Our relationship has helped me to bloom into the person I am; just as a garden needs both sunshine and rain to grow, you have been there through my happiest and my saddest days.
You have sharpened me, laughed with me, put up with my idiosyncracies and crazy habits.  Thank you for your faithfulness, your insight, your prayers and your forgiveness.  The secret to lifelong friendship is to treat is not just as a gift, but also as a responsibility. Thanks for playing your part to perfection. I can never thank God enough for placing you in my life.
Janis I am grateful that you made our friendship a priority instead of making a big deal about the distance between us. Whether you were on the other side of the room, the state, the country, or the world, I have known you’ve had my back. Thank you for knowing what I mean, even when I don’t finish my thoughts. Thank you for constantly encouraging me and for being open with me. Thank you for trusting me and never giving me a reason to not trust you.
Thank you for sharing my love of the Lord.  Doing life together, celebrating holidays and Growing old together is a rare privilege that I do not take for granted. Words will never be enough to tell you what you truly mean to me. No matter what, I love you. Always.
May God continue to trust you with the keys to the kingdom and may He keep you from stumbling and  present you before Hs glorious presence without fault and with great joy
