Life as Thank You 21
Dear Wanda,
This year I am writing a thank you note each week as an act of discipline to let people know how grateful I am for them.
You are the picture in the dictionary next to the word thoughtful. And you are next to the word generous. And I find myself at a loss for words in expressing how fortunate and blessed I am to call you my lifelong friend. I have had the privilege of watching you as a high school student pouring into the lives of kids and giving 150% all the time to watching you love on people with genuine care, from your mom to George Genovese to Jim when he was sick with cancer at the same time as you to all of your friends, no matter how ungratefully they respond.
I have watched you choose to cling to hope in the midst of adversity and to make the best out of the worst situations. It is inspiring. You jumped right in as a cheerleader for Jim when he was sick Thank you for pursuing our friendship over the years and for remembering so many things in the journey. Thank you for never giving up – on relationships, on life, on me…
May God continue to bless and keep you as we continue to journey life together.
I love you!
