November Gratitude E. Stone 3 For Everything
Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:20)
This passage in Ephesians is more powerful than the verse in Thessalonians. We are to give thanks always for all things. When the doctor comes and tells you that your husband has terminal cancer, it is difficult to give thanks for that. But I needed to accept the attitude of Samuel:
Then Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, ˜It is the LORD. Let Him do what seems good to Him.” 1 Sam. 3:18
And Mary:
And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:38.
This Ebenezer stone of remembrance is a boulder that reflects the continual need to yield my will to the Lord’s.
Thank you Lord for even this and thy will be done in my life as it is in heaven.
