When Jim got cancer, I started a blog on caring bridge.org (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jimmohler) to keep everyone updated about our family’s journey through the valley of the shadow of death. November 5, 2011 began a new journey for our family when Jim went home to heaven. This blog was launched as a result; there were no longer updates about Jim’s health, but many of you wanted to be kept up to date about our new journey through the mists of grief. Not sure how this will go, but thanks for joining me on this arduous trip as we wait with hope.  …Mirm
Dear Miriam,
As a re-introduction, my name is Rich McLaughlin. From 2000 to 2003, I had served as Trinity College Director of Student Ministries and during that time came to know Jim and to meet you though just briefly.
Then, after serving in Japan from 2003 to 2008, our family returned to the States and to California in particular while I worked on the residential part of my doctoral studies. During that time, Jim and I were able to catch up in the form of a lunch and some brief conversations on the Biola campus.
Now, I have circled back to Trinity as the Trinity College/Trinity Graduate School Online Programs Academic Coordinator. If the Lord wills, during the Fall 2013 semester we will start a Family Ministry specialization within the TC Christian Ministries degree completion program. This new specialization prompts this email. I would like to compare notes with you about two courses that we plan to have developed and to teach within the Family Ministry specialization:
SOC 221 Marriage and the Family (Fall 2013)
CM 280 Psychological & Sociological Foundations of Family (Spring 2014)
Would you please send an email back to me regarding whether you might have interest in writing and instructing one (if not perhaps both) of these courses?
Blessings,
Rich
