Christmas 2024
Last year (2022) I took the year off from sending Christmas cards. 2023 is now on its way out. For our family it was the year of 4 weddings and a funeral. Rex Moses, my dad, made it safely home to heaven at the end of 2022 and we celebrated his life in January.
Vanessa Vosburg, my niece, married Drew DePenning (April). Jeremy Moses, my nephew, married Gabby McQuoid (November), Jennifer Wheeler, my cousin, married Jon Lucas (October). And Clayton, my son, married Amanda Razzouk (June). There were other weddings, funerals and adventures this year too; life goes on.
I still work at Fullerton Free and I miss teaching online for Trinity. Both my kids live in SoCal for which I am grateful. Emily and Connor have jobs, but are both looking for better options; perhaps the “right” careers will finally come along in 2024. After honeymooning in Kauai, Clayton and Amanda are enjoying married life. He is a youth pastor; she is a nurse. They have a great community of friends.
Jim’s high school class celebrated their 50 year reunion. It is hard to believe he has been in heaven 13 years, but the ripples of a life well lived continue. I enjoyed a vacation with my mom and siblings this fall to visit family. It was a great time! I am looking forward to more travel in the new year. As I reflect on the past and look forward to the new year I remain full of gratitude and joyful hope.
I wish you all the best in 2024. With love and prayers, Miriam
