Dear Connor

As I sit here reflecting on the years since you both joined our family and formed a new one with Emily, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude to our good God for the wonderful man you are and the joyful privilege it is to call you “son”. Watching you and Emily build a life together has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, especially as you both have weathered so much and kept going.

I admire your dedication, your kindness, and the way you always put God on display as you put others first. Thank you for supporting Emily’s goals and dreams, for caring for her and loving her well. Thank you for persistently working on your own health and your tenacity and resilience are amazing. Thank you for being such a wonderful son-in-love. I’m always here for you, and I look forward to many more happy years together as a family.

I am praying that this year is the one where you both see the results of always doing your best and never giving up; I am rooting for you, hoping it is your best year yet. I am so glad you were born.
