Fingers on a chalkboard!

Have you ever seen one of those memes that talk about the “olden days”, how “you know you are a boomer if…”, or talk about things that kids today will never understand? Things like: I remember when a tweet was something that birds did, gay was another word for happy, facebook was a yearbook, surfing was something you do at the beach, and a hashtag was tic-tac-toe. It is weird to think that the current generation don’t know what a rotary dial is, and will never use a pay phone.

I often wonder what people said about hail before the invention of golf balls!

The reason I bring this up is because I was thinking about the expression fingernails on a chalkboard and not that there are no chalkboards, how do kids know how annoying it is? What would the modern equivalent be? I have been racking my brains and I think I have it: Vuvuzelas at a soccer game!

Got any other ideas?!
