Life as Thank You 51

dscn0257Dear Brian and Susan,

Sometimes I am overwhelmed by God’s grace and goodness in my life.  This is one of those moments as I reflect on you both and your role in my life.  I am working on increasing gratitude in my life and one of the ways I am doing so is writing old-fashioned notes to tell folks how much they mean to me.

This letter is hard to write, only because with so many things to say, I don’t know where to start and I know I will forget most of what I want to say. Having a good relationship with your cousins is something to cherish and work towards. Putting in the effort to spend time together is important, and completely worth it. The memories that I have made with you will last a lifetime, and I will never be able to thank you enough. I believe that God designed who was supposed to be in my family for a reason, and I wouldn’t wish to be related to anyone else. Brian, you are the closest in age to me and closest in my heart.

Thank you for your faith, your family and for your friendship.  Besides my siblings, cousins are usually the next category to us that we know the longest in life. While many cousins are not close and don’t keep in touch, and we did not even grow up near one another, we have a deep connection based on common faith and DNA. For many cousins, even with many of our first cousins, there is not a close relationship, but I want you to know that I would do anything for you and your family.  I am proud of you.  I am grateful you are my family. I love you.

May God always make his face shine on you and may you know His favor and blessings abundant.

PS Happy Birthday!
